Top Crop were the green beans I was brought up with. My dad planted enough of these to keep us in greens all year and then some. We would pick them and take them to the living room to snap while watching TV. Then mom would put them in jars and take them to the basement when they cooled off.

Top Crop is a 50-52 day bean. They are brown seeded and the stringless round pods get 5-7 inches long. Descriptions state the plants grow to 15-18 inches tall. They are one of the best green bean for fresh eating, canning, and freezing. This variety was developed by the United States Department of Agriculture.
