Purple Queen Bush Beans are a 52 day variety. They stand around 18 inches tall and produce pods that 5-7 inches long. The leaves are a dark green, have purple stems, and purple flowers. The pods are purple but turn green when cooked. The pods are very tender and stringless, even if you let them get quite large.
There are many varieties of purple beans and I will be trying more varieties. The pictures taken are from the second crop.
