Hardy ‘Ice Cream’ Banana
I purchased this ‘Ice Cream’ Banana from Wellspring Gardens, a very reliable eBay seller.
This tree did very well in the back yard all summer. It grew just fine and the leaves remained green for the most part. When I moved it to the front porch, however, the bottom leaves started turning brown. I started feeding with Wellspring Gardens special Banana Tree Fertilizer in hope that it would do better. It may just be common. This tree can reach up to 15 feet tall. It is cold hardy outside in zones 8-10.
