Ajuga x tenorii
I have always loved the dark bronze-green foliage of some of the Ajugas! They make a really nice perennial groundcover, and don’t normally grow so fast as to be a pain. They stay short, to about 6 inches, so they are really nice in many areas you would want a nice short mat. They are winter hardy in zones 4a-9b (-30 to 25 degrees F). They prefer to grow in sun to part shade in a nice well drained location. They produce medium blue flowers from mid-spring through mid-summer.
This plant is poisonous if ingested.
