The business was founded by Ernest Wahliss in Trnovany, Czech Republic (Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, Austria) in 1863. They also had retail stores in London and Vienna where they sold Bohemian Porcelain.
In 1894, Wahliss bought the Alfred Stellmacher Imperial and Royal Porcelain Factory (est. 1859).
After his death in 1900, his sons Hans and Erich, took over the business. In 1902, they bought 600 original molds from the former Imperial and Royal factory of Vienna to make reproductions of their porcelain.
In 1905, Hans and Erich named the company Alexandra Porcelain Works Ernest Wahliss. The company became well known for some very unique designs. Paul Dachel was one of the companies designers until he started his own factory in 1905.
In 1921 the factory was merged into Porcelain Union, United Porcelain Factory AG. The factory joined the EPIAG association in 1927. EPIAG stands for Erste Bohemische Porzellan Industrie AG-First Bohemian Porcelain Industry. This association was formerlly known as the OEPIAG (Osterreichische Porzellan Industrie AG-Austrian Porcelain Industry). The association was formed by the Austrian government to promote Bohemian porcelain.
The factory closed in 1934.

Hannah,
I am not sure what all those numbers mean, but no double it has to do with a style number. Maybe someone that is reading your comment can be of better assistance. As far as the value, I have no clue. With this economy it is very hard to say. Check with eBay and see iof any similar to yours has sold or is listed to give you some idea. Thanks for visiting the Myistical Mansion and Garden Blog.
