This was the other succulent growing in the pot of Aeonium ssp. ‘Irish Bouquet’ I bought from Lowe’s. I had no where to begin to figure out the name of it because there so many different types of succulents in different families, genus, and species that look alike. I sent a picture to a succulent specialist and she gave me a name the thought could be it… Well, I looked it up online, and I think she is right or at least on the right track. They are in the Crassulaceae family and are hardy in zones 9a to 10b (20-35 degrees F). The information I have say they like full sun to filtered light. I have had mine in morning sun, full sun in the fall, and in the den, and it has done pretty well no matter where it has been. It is dormant during the summer months although it does grow pretty well then, too. It is said that they can be fast aggressive growers from fall-spring. Their blooms can be yellow to white.
As with all succulents, let the pot get pretty full before putting them in another pot and just increase the pot size by 1/2 inch. Use a professional soilless potting mix specially formulated for cacti and succulents for best results. Water thoroughly when dry and avoid wet soil during the cooler months.
