I bought this neat succulent from Lowe’s and noticed that another variety was growing in the pot. Well, the Aeonium died (NO, I didn’t re-pot it)but the other plant continued to grow. It is the next plant on the list. It was a great plant, now I have to get another one!
This nice little succulent is a member of the Crassulaceae family. Like all succulents, you need to water thoroughly when dry except for in the winter. You will notice that the soil on all plants doesn’t dry out as fast in the winter an in the summer. They prefer temperatures no cooler than 32 degrees and they are winter hardy in zones 10. They prefer filtered light, especially in the heat of the summer. They bloom in winter and spring and are dormant in the summer although that doesn’t mean they completely stop growing. It just means they do most of their growing in the fall, winter, and spring.
